Monami started her career in her academy days through a Television series that was her debut on the Television screen, “ Saatkahon “. Also she got back-to- back diurnals to offer, like Pratiksha Ektu Bhalobasar, Kon Se Alor Swapno Niye, Sonar Horin, Ek Akasher Niche & Ekdin Pratidin.
She worked with Etv Bangla & played as a supereminent character in Binni Dhaner Khoi, Hiyar Majhe & Sonar Horin. Monami appeared in a Star Jalsha tv series, Punyi Pukur where she came a star after playing the character Kankaboti Banerjee aka Kakon.
In the middle, she appeared in pictures like Bhooter Bhabishayt, directed by Anik Dutta & also worked with Soumitra Chattopadhyay in Belashse, by the direction of Shiboprasad Chatterjee & Nandita Roy & appeared in Saibal Banerjee & Leena Gangopadhyay’s movie Maati with starring Paoli Dam & Adil Hussain.
