GTA 6 release date

Naturally, with no announcement of the game’s existence, we don’t have any sort of release date for GTA 6 at this time.

Rockstar most lately released Grand Theft Bus The Trio – The Definitive Edition on January 11, 2022. More importantly, the release date of the remaster was blazoned on October 22.So principally, if we would have to make a stake, October 22 is the most likely date of the time to get a release or advertisement.

A report from early 2020 refocused to Rockstar proprietor Take-Two Interactive spending$ 89 million on marketing over its 12-month fiscal period ending on March 31, 2024 (via VentureBeat). This advanced budget was originally allowed to be due to the launch of GTA 6 between April 2023 and March 2024.

Take-Two denied the report and claimed that this was actually the marketing budget allocated for its third- party contracts, not internal workrooms similar as Rockstar Games. Still, this does sound like a likely period for the game to come out.

In April 2020, a Kotaku report mentioned that the coming entry in the Grand Theft Bus series is” beforehand in development” meaning a release is still a good many times down.

This was corroborated by game intelligencers Tom Henderson and Jason Schreier that both suggested that GTA 6 will not be released until 2024 or 2025. This was farther corroborated by VGC.

GTA 6 trailer

Rockstar will likely not release a trailer until an announcement about GTA 6’s existence is confirmed. Once this happens, there’s a good chance a trailer will follow in the following weeks or even days. The developer did this for GTA V with a trailer premiering on November 2, 2011.

GTA 6 location and map

No details have yet been verified as to the position of GTA 6. Will it be Liberty City? Will it be San Andreas? Will it be Vice City? Will it be Los Santor and Blaine Country?

Well, one of the biggest rumours to grace the web is that GTA 6 will have an evolving chart, taking alleviation from the likes of Fornite and will modernize over time.

This does make a lot of sense as the coming GTA could be around for a decade, so what better way than regular updates to keep effects fresh and instigative.

Take it with a grain of swab but this rumour did stem from games intelligencer Tom Henderson (yes, the same one) who does have a believable history with leaks.

Another rumour pertaining to the GTA 6 chart says that it’ll be set in Miami and will have a chart three times bigger than GTA V (via ThatsSoBold).

It would be wild if this came true.

Keeping with the setting of GTA 6, a new rumour has stemmed from a Rockstar job listing for a Photogrammetry Artist, fuelling enterprise that not only will the game be inspired by locales across the US but also around the world.

This would be the first for the series as it has heavily leaned on metropolises similar as New York, California and Miami in the history.

Will GTA 6 come to PC?

It’s a pretty solid bet. Rockstar’s past with PC versions has been a bit erratic, but the immense popularity of both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is a great reason for Rockstar to take the platform seriously.

And it seems like Rockstar feels the same, considering it released the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC in 2019. It’s hard to believe the studio would release its own games launcher if it didn’t plan on hosting its future games there, including an assumed GTA 6.

That said, we can probably expect a gap between the release of GTA 6 on consoles and PC. It took GTA 5 a year and a half to come to PC, and RDR2’s gap was almost a year as well.

Every week there are dozens of new rumours and potential leaks infiltrating the web from either journalists, streamers or insiders claiming to have the biggest scoop in games media. We’ll do our best to weed out some of the nonsense and only bring the ones worth giving attention to. Some of which are absolutely bonkers and just worth including for a good laugh.

GTA 6 news and rumours/leaks

Rockstar projects confirmed

Let’s start with what’s officially confirmed to be in the works from Rockstar. The latest release is Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which launched digitally on November 11 and is set to arrive physically on December 7th.

After this, we will see a next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V arrive on PlayStation 5 in March 2022. It’s unlikely that Rockstar would announce GTA 6 until GTA V has launched and had a good few months to rack up some sales. If anything, it would be later in the year.

First GTA 6 image?

Here’s an interesting one. Following the launch of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, players quickly discovered an unidentified house as part of a hanging photo on the wall of the Lil’ Probe’Inn in San Andreas.

The house in question is not thought to be part of any current GTA games, according to the sleuths over on the gta farm, fuelling speculation that this is the first image from GTA 6.

On top of this, to add more fuel to the fire, this photo is part of the “I Want to Believe” wall in Lil’ Probe’Inn, a bar dedicated to UFOs. It was also noted

(via takotu) that an update to a billboard in the GTA III remaster has changed the words from “See you in Miami” to “See you soon”. It’s an interesting theory as Rockstar could be teasing its next entry with further rumours pointing to a Miami setting.
